Transnet Port Terminals and Academy is offering a two-year Young Professional-in-Training programme designed to equip recently qualified graduates with practical workplace experience. Through structured learning, mentorship, and exposure to various business functions, participants will gain valuable insights into commercial and planning operations. The programme fosters professional growth by involving trainees in meetings, workshops, and project execution, while encouraging collaboration and high-quality output. This opportunity is aligned with Transnet’s Employment Equity Plan, and preference may be given to candidates from designated groups.

Responsibilities

• Shadow various staff members and participate in structured learning experiences
• Attend meetings and workshops to gain exposure to different business functions
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide regular updates
• Ensure queries are resolved satisfactorily and timeously
• Provide general administrative support, research, and assistance
• Take work briefs from mentors or specialists and structure deliverables accordingly
• Execute project tasks effectively both independently and collaboratively
• Produce quality work that contributes to client-focused project solutions

Qualifications

• Degree, BTech or Diploma in Management Accounting, Economics, Marketing, Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Business Management or Logistics
• Zero to one year of relevant work experience
• Must be a South African citizen
• Age between 18 and 35 years
