Description

The Data Analytics Advisor is responsible for developing and conducting data analysis audits across various systems to safeguard assets, identify risks, and enhance operational efficiency. Key duties include supporting internal audits, designing analytic tests, and communicating with stakeholders to highlight potential weaknesses. The role requires strong research, analysis, and internal auditing skills. A minimum of 4 years' relevant experience and an ICT qualification (NQF Level 6) are essential, with a preference for candidates holding a post-graduate qualification and 6 years' experience. The position is based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct data analysis audits of various systems and applications organisation-wide to safeguard assets, identify risk and threats, ensure accuracy of data and also promote operational efficiency
• Assist to implement and review Internal Audit projects and initiatives
• Interacts and communicates with various stakeholders across the organisation and within the Unit
• Undertake administrative and reporting requirements associated with the area of responsibility
• Support knowledge management systems (continuity and business recovery process) of the Unit
• Design and develop analytic tests to address audit related risks
• Highlight risks through proactive awareness and follow- through on identification of possible losses or weaknesses in various organisational systems

Qualifications

• ICT qualification (NQF level 6) or equivalent
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 4 Years relevant experience
• Preferred Requirements Post graduate qualification (NQF level 8) and member of a recognized computer association
• 6 Years relevant experience
