The Youth Employment Service (YES) programme at Eskom offers a 12-month fixed-term contract for unemployed South African youth between the ages of 18 and 34, providing valuable workplace experience in administrative and support roles within the Retail department. Based in the Eastern Cape, the programme is aimed at individuals with a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification who have not been permanently employed for more than one year, are not studying full-time, and have not previously participated in the YES initiative. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and a strong customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support to the Retail department and assist with day-to-day office operations
• Perform clerical duties such as data capturing, filing, photocopying, and scanning of documents
• Support customer service activities by responding to basic queries and directing clients to relevant personnel
• Assist in preparing reports, updating records, and maintaining documentation systems

Qualifications

• Must be a South African Citizen
• Aged between 18 to 34
• Grade 12 or equivalent and/or post matric certificate/programme
