The Cashier position at BUCO Alice is a permanent role within the retail sector, focused on delivering exceptional customer service at the point of sale. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing transactions efficiently and courteously, ensuring the accuracy and security of all till operations. This role plays a key part in enhancing customer satisfaction, promoting the company’s values, and supporting sales performance in a dynamic store environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally
• Ring up purchases and accept various forms of payment
• Issue accurate receipts for all transactions
• Balance the till to ensure all receipts and cash are accounted for
• Maintain positive public relations with customers
• Promote and uphold the company’s values and culture

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Proficiency in English
• Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Helpful and polite demeanor
• Knowledge of building material products is an advantage
• Two to three years of cashier experience is an advantage
• Basic computer skills
