The Handyman position in Durbanville, Western Cape, involves routine maintenance and repairs for AVBOB’s facilities, including electrical, plumbing, and minor building work. Responsibilities encompass general repairs, assisting the Foreman, managing tools and work areas, and adhering to health and safety standards. A Grade 10 education and five years of handyman experience are required, along with knowledge in electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and appliance repair. The role is permanent, junior level, and may require after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance repairs including electrical, plumbing and small building related repairs on all AVBOB Western Cape facilities
• Assist and report to the Foreman
• General Assistance in order to complete all building related maintenance activities
• Movement (portage) of good and materials
• Collection of material from suppliers
• Manage and maintain own toolbox

Qualifications

• Grade 10 or above
• 5 Years as a general worker
