Trainee Automation Engineer

Description

The successful candidate will participate in a structured training program within the Automation team, focusing on the reliability and sustainability of control systems across all manufacturing departments. The role is designed to develop skills in maintaining, optimizing, and improving automated systems in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, specifically in dairy manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize control systems to meet production requirements efficiently and cost-effectively
  • Work to reduce process losses and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in automation projects
  • Develop production and process performance reports
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC and SCADA systems

Qualifications

  • Education: B-Tech or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering
  • Experience: 0–3 years of exposure to an automated manufacturing environment
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in sterile packaging or liquid beverages is advantageous
  • Technical Skills (Advantageous):
  • Practical exposure to Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Knowledge of Aveva systems (Application Server, InTouch, Historian)
  • Experience with Veeam, VMware, and Allen-Bradley Stratix Switches
