The Finance Trainee role at SACAA provides practical exposure in finance and accounting functions, including creditors and debtors management, revenue recognition, supplier payments, petty cash administration, and general financial reporting. The role is ideal for graduates or early-career finance professionals seeking hands-on experience in a regulatory environment, while developing core finance skills and understanding compliance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain all creditors and debtors transactions accurately
• Generate invoices, receipt payments, and manage revenue recognition
• Follow up on unallocated deposits and perform debt collection
• Accurately process supplier invoices and payments, including foreign payments
• Administer petty cash, expense claims, and local S&T allowances
• Ensure proper filing and retrieval of financial documents
• Perform ad-hoc administrative duties as required

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Finance / Financial Management or relevant NQF Level 6 qualification (BCom Finance or Accounting preferred)
• Basic knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and revenue recognition
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and follow financial policies and procedures
• Attention to detail, reliability, and proactive work ethic
