Giesecke & Devrient (G+D) is a global leader in digital security and payment technology. The YES Intern – HR Administrator will provide entry-level support to the Human Resources department through the YES4Youth Learnership Program. The role focuses on assisting with HR administration, recruitment coordination, recordkeeping, onboarding, and employee engagement activities while ensuring compliance with HR policies and South African labour legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment tasks such as job postings, interview scheduling, and documentation
  • Maintain employee files and HR records in compliance with policies
  • Support onboarding, training, and HR events
  • Capture and update HR data on systems and spreadsheets
  • Provide administrative support to HR staff and ensure confidentiality in all HR operations

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field
  • 1 year or less experience in HR administration (internship or learnership experience considered)
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of SAGE 300 People System is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and labour laws
  • Must meet YES4Youth criteria – unemployed, aged 18–34, Black (as per BBBEE Act), and not previously part of a YES program
