EThekwini Municipality is offering a Mechanical Fitter Artisan Development Programme for unemployed youth, closing on November 14, 2025. Eligible applicants must have an N2 certificate or equivalent, be aged 18-35, South African citizens, and eThekwini residents. Responsibilities

• Undergo various assessments
• Complete an apprenticeship programme as per the specified and regulated criteria of the applicable Seta/QCTO and the National Artisan Moderating Body
• Undergo a formal trade test to qualify as an Artisan in the relevant trade

Qualifications

• Minimum N2 certificate including the relevant trade theory subject
• Technical/Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science/ Engineering science and related trade theory subject
• Relevant N6 certificate or National Technical diploma
