The Graduate in Training opportunity at Eskom is an internship based in Polokwane within the LimLanga Cluster’s Business Enablement Department. This role is designed for a recent graduate to undergo a structured training programme across various Environmental Sections. The position focuses on supporting environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives, including the implementation of ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems, monitoring environmental plans, and conducting investigations. It offers a hands-on experience in environmental governance within the electricity, energy, and water supply industry, fostering teamwork, responsibility, and a safety-conscious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide support by implementing and executing the implementation of an ISO14001 Environmental Management System and related procedures within the designated area of the business
• Ensure compliance to legislative and governance requirements of the designated area of the business through the implementation of compliance measures
• Execute the process of obtaining Environmental Approvals
• Implement and monitor Environmental Management Plans
• Perform Environmental Investigations

Qualifications

• BSc Environmental Science at NQF7 with 360 credits
• BSc Environmental Management at NQF7 with 360 credits
• B Degree Environmental Science at NQF7 with 360 credits
• B Degree Environmental Management at NQF7 with 360 credits
• No work experience required
