General Education and Training Certificate (GETC) in Forestry Learnership at SAFCOL provides an opportunity for motivated individuals with a Matric Certificate to build essential skills in forestry management and plantation operations. Based in Sabie, Mpumalanga, the programme combines both theoretical (classroom) and practical field training to equip learners with hands-on experience in sustainable silviculture practices. Participants will operate under supervision, assisting with machinery operation, maintenance, and safe handling of forestry equipment. The learnership focuses on developing technical competence, safety awareness, and teamwork within a professional forestry environment. Responsibilities

• Attend and complete both the theoretical (classroom) training and practical training modules under the learnership
• Operate, under supervision, mechanised harvesting equipment
• Assist with machine maintenance, inspections and safe handling of equipment used in mechanised harvesting
