The Graduate in Training – Commercial programme at Eskom Distribution provides a structured 24-month internship designed to develop skills in procurement, logistics, and commercial operations. Participants will rotate through various commercial sections within the Business Enablement Department, gaining hands-on experience in sourcing, contract management, supplier relations, and business process administration. The programme aims to prepare graduates for future roles in supply chain and commercial management within the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Execute integrated sourcing and procurement processes according to Eskom procedures
• Process purchases of goods and services and manage related administration
• Negotiate and coordinate supplier agreements to meet internal customer needs
• Participate in tender adjudication and manage contracts and purchase orders
• Access and analyse procurement data to support decision-making

Qualifications

• Qualification: BCom or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Logistics, or Transport (NQF Level 7, 360 credits)
• Experience: No prior work experience required
• Skills: Analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Other: Must be willing to complete a 24-month structured training programme within Eskom’s Commercial sections
