Amazon South Africa is seeking a highly analytical, motivated, and forward-thinking Financial Analyst Intern. This internship is designed for students and recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, data-driven decision-making, and business operations within a global tech and e-commerce leader. As a Finance Intern, you will work on meaningful projects that support Amazon’s customer-focused operations across multiple countries. You will partner with cross-functional teams, develop financial insights, and contribute to cost optimisation, forecasting, reporting, and performance measurement. This internship offers an excellent introduction to finance within a large-scale, international organisation and provides exposure to world-class tools, systems, and leadership principles

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering and analysing financial and operational data
• Identify trends, cost drivers, and improvement opportunities
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles
• Build dashboards and performance indicators (KPIs) that support business decision-making
• Contribute to automating tools, improving accuracy, and streamlining processes
• Present insights to finance leaders and business managers
• Participate in networking sessions, intern events, and skill-building workshops

Qualifications
