Santam Client Solutions is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our growing BI team in Cape Town. This is a hybrid role that blends business analysis and BI development, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders while also building high-quality reporting solutions. You will rotate between key business areas — such as Sales, Servicing, and Retentions — supporting day-to-day analytics needs, answering data questions, and developing Power BI reports that drive strategic decision-making. You’ll play a central role in our transition from legacy Excel-based reporting to a modern, governed, scalable Power BI ecosystem

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary BI contact for assigned business units
• Support users with ad-hoc data queries and guide them in interpreting BI dashboards
• Clarify and document reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs
• Identify gaps in reporting and opportunities to improve data-driven decision-making
• Support monthly reporting processes (commissions, management reporting, and performance analysis)
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
• Build and optimise dataflows using Power Query (M) and DAX
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with BI governance standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Commerce, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
