Description

The Graduate Engineering Programme (GEP) is a structured development initiative designed to equip emerging engineers with practical experience, technical expertise, and professional growth opportunities within the Necsa Group. The programme exposes graduates to multidisciplinary engineering environments through rotational placements, mentorship, and real project involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the design, development, and execution of engineering projects
  • Interpret technical drawings, models, and specifications to contribute to practical engineering solutions
  • Assist with designing, implementing, testing, and optimising systems, processes, and components
  • Conduct engineering analyses, collect and interpret data, and prepare technical reports and improvement proposals
  • Support continuous improvement, innovation initiatives, and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards

Qualifications

  • South African citizen aged 18–35 with a completed BEng/BSc Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Control & Instrumentation (Master’s degree is an advantage)
  • Strong academic performance, especially in core engineering subjects
  • No full-time work experience required, but internships, vacation work, or research projects are beneficial
  • Proficient in engineering software and computer applications (CAD, modelling, simulation tools)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills with potential for leadership and continuous learning
