Responsibilities

  • The intern will provide operational and administrative support to the Sales Department, including: Managing general correspondence, emails, filing, and telephone support
  • Monitoring the support mailbox and sales emails in the absence of staff
  • Forwarding quotation requests and relevant emails to the correct personnel
  • Preparing quotations/RFQs/tenders using GP calculators and ensuring timely submissions
  • Maintaining databases of quotations/RFQs/tenders and calculating conversion rates

Qualifications

  • Qualification: BSc degree, with Chemistry or Microbiology as one of the majors Experience: None required – suitable for recent graduates Skills & Attributes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literate (MS Office; basic SAP knowledge advantageous)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Basic numerical and analytical skills
  • Professional telephone etiquette and a customer-focused approach
