The Laboratory Intern position at Valtera Platinum offers graduates hands-on exposure to chemical and analytical testing within a mining laboratory environment. The role includes sample preparation, laboratory analysis, data recording and supporting quality-control processes. Interns work under supervision while learning industry-standard lab procedures, safety practices and compliance requirements. The programme provides mentorship, structured training and exposure to metallurgical and process-control operations. Applicants must hold a degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Applications close on 15 December 2025.

Responsibilities

• Conducting laboratory testing and analysis
• Supporting sampling, quality checks, and process-control tasks
• Participating in data collection and reporting
• Collaborating with experienced professionals and cross-functional teams
• Engaging in structured on-the-job learning, mentorship, and training, to build professional laboratory skills, industrial safety awareness, and understanding of mining-related lab processes

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a similar relevant science discipline or equivalent
