PPC Aggregates is offering an internship opportunity for Mechanical Engineering students who require P1 and P2 practical training as part of their National Diploma requirements. This programme provides hands-on experience in a real-world engineering environment, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical tasks, projects, and challenges. The internship supports skills development, education, and career readiness while contributing to PPC’s mission of creating sustainable value and empowering people to experience a better quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Apply theoretical knowledge to practical engineering tasks and projects
• Gain exposure to real-world mechanical engineering challenges within PPC Aggregates
• Assist in engineering operations and contribute to departmental objectives
• Develop technical and professional skills through structured in-service training
• Work collaboratively with teams to support engineering and materials business unit goals

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Eligible to complete P1 and P2 in-service training
• Good academic record
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is advantageous
• Willingness to learn and work in a team
• South African citizen with a valid South African Identity Document
• Residing in Diepsloot, Laudium, Atteridgeville, Lotus Gardens or Saulsville
