Description

The purpose of the Internship program is to provide a work-integrated platform for graduates with an aim to expose the graduates to the Engineering Department. The Interns will be exposed to Asset Management (collecting, analyzing and interpreting asset performance data) and Research and Innovation (research, innovation and road safety).

Responsibilities

• Introduction to TMH3 Traffic Monitoring Specifications and TMH14 Traffic
• Monitoring Data Formats
• Assistance with tender preparation
• Updating Traffic Monitoring Database
• Loading of Traffic Monitoring Station Information
• Introduction to TMH19 Visual Assessment of Structures
• Updating Structure Database
• Allocation of Structure Numbers
• Traffic and Structure Data Quality Assurance

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements for the Research and Innovation Internship
• NQF 7 in Public Administration & Management
• Minimum requirements for the Asset Management Internships
• NQF 6 or above in Civil Engineering
