Description

This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural diesel equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting machinery, identifying faults, replacing or repairing components, performing electrical and mechanical tests, and completing all related documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Reassemble agricultural equipment following repair; test operation; and make adjustments as necessary
• Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, and confer with customers to locate and diagnose malfunctions
• Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools
• Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, machines, welding equipment, grinders, or saws
• Inspect or test parts to determine nature or cause of defects or malfunctions

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12
• Computer literate
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Experience on agricultural equipment
• Experience on New Holland tractors (advantageous)
