Description

The Apprentice / Technician is responsible for attending service calls, installations, label deliveries, and cheque collections within the designated branch area. The role also requires implementing and applying SABS Quality Procedures daily while ensuring equipment operates correctly and service standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and fault-finding on equipment as logged on the system
• Verify and seal scales in line with NRCS/SABS Quality Systems
• Install and configure software on equipment at customer sites
• Conduct preventative maintenance on service-contracted scales
• Order required spares and maintain standard equipment
• Maintain Service Level Agreements with corporate clients

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science OR N3 with Mathematics and Physical Science
• Age between 18 – 28 years
• Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle (mandatory)
• Technical aptitude with willingness to learn and develop
• Ability to work independently and meet service-level requirements
