Description

The City of Ekurhuleni invites applications from academically deserving and committed students who intend to pursue FULL TIME UNDERGRADUATE studies in the Community Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. This bursary aims to support talented youth, promote access to higher education, and develop skills that meet the city’s municipal service delivery needs.

Responsibilities

• South African citizens residing within City of Ekurhuleni (proof required)
• Between 18 and 35 years of age
• Completed Grade 12 Secured an acceptance letter or proof of registration for the 2026 academic year
• Provide proof of total monthly household income South African citizens residing within City of Ekurhuleni (proof required)
• Between 18 and 35 years of age
• Completed Grade 12 Secured an acceptance letter or proof of registration for the 2026 academic year
• Provide proof of total monthly household income South African ID
• Matric certificate
• Acceptance I proof of registration at an accredited institution
• Proof of residence within the city of Ekurhuleni (not older than 3 months)
• Motivation letter (maximum 1 page)
• Proof of household income (salary slips, stamped bank statement with an affidavit)
• Social grant proof if applicable
• The bursary is renewable annually, based on academic performance/results
• The bursary covers the following subjects to the availability of funds: Registration and tuition fees
• Prescribed textbooks
• Accommodation and meals (where applicable)
