The DevOps Engineer, Senior is responsible for compiling, building, staging, and deploying software within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). They contribute to DevOps automation and execute deployments and releases from a developer's workstation. Responsibilities include managing daily workloads, designing logging, metrics, and alerting tool chains, providing expert-level troubleshooting, keeping systems patched and updated, refining monitoring processes, leading collaboration with development teams, contributing to disaster recovery, capacity expansion, component upgrading, and system hardening, working with engineering teams to increase platform operational stability, training junior personnel, monitoring and troubleshooting problems within DevOps tools, network, storage, and servers, and using Hadoop. They aim to increase automation and environment agnostic infrastructure while staying updated on new tools and techniques.
