The The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a public-private initiative by the Presidency to address South Africa's youth unemployment crisis. Eskom is offering work opportunities for unemployed youth in the energy industry, following the BBBEE definition. Successful candidates will be given a 12-month contract to work in the Maintenance & Operations department, involving hands-on training, supporting maintenance and operational tasks, and contributing to team efforts. Applicants must be a South African citizen, aged 18 to 34, hold a Grade 12/Matric certificate, have no prior work experience, not have been employed permanently with a single employer for more than one year, not be studying full-time during the year of employment, and not have participated in the YES initiative before. The recruitment process will determine if successful applicants will be placed in Eskom Operations across the Cluster.
