The job description for a GRM Data Analyst requires an NQF 7 qualification in Accounting / Finance / Business, experience in Computer Science / Management Information Systems / Statistics, or related technical field, and 3 years of experience in a large data-driven environment with a mixture of risk management, internal audit, and data analytics involvement. Experience with SAP and Active Retail in a moderate or large company is also beneficial. Working knowledge of analytical review and data analysis is required, as well as working knowledge of data analytics software packages and solutions (preferably Arbutus). Understanding of analytical review driven continuous auditing and risk management is required. Report writing, time management, and administration skills are also required. Key performance areas include policy, procedure, process, data analytics, continuous auditing / risk management, tools, technique, and software management. The role involves establishing, maintaining, and updating components of Cashbuild GRM policies and procedures, identifying key performance areas and related indicators, performing trend analysis, and presenting results for management awareness and action. Tools, technique, and software management involve keeping up to date with legislative, technological, and business changes to support internal audit and risk management service delivery through appropriate data analysis. The role also involves ensuring optimal utilization of corporate analytical review software (Arbutus) and giving due consideration to new software developments. Data analytics stakeholder relationship management involves liaising with all levels of management, developing and maintaining productive business, employee, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings. The role also involves providing proactive input to the Internal Audit plan and suggesting changes and improvements based on automated data analytic tools and techniques. Reporting involves preparing data analytics-driven audit findings with thorough root cause analysis and practical recommendations, taking responsibility for reporting results in the form of assignment-specific reports and management information, and providing weekly feedback of IT internal audit results and progress against the plan to Group Risk Management team members. Competencies include driving for results, delivering best practice quality/standards, and following through on commitments.
