The Business Analyst (BA) role in the Markets Technology Africa team is crucial for understanding the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including settlement processes. The ideal candidate should have experience with vendor management, integration architecture, Markets Products and Business environment, and strong understanding of Agile methodology and principles. A Bachelor's degree in Financial management and Economics or related discipline is required, and previous Global Market product experience is essential.
The BA will engage with stakeholders to understand business problems and needs, translate them into detailed requirements, analyze the end-to-end flow of the Markets Technology Africa architecture, and identify optimization, re-use, and standardization opportunities. They will also build and maintain professional working relationships with stakeholders, initiate dialogue, and manage expectations to achieve positive outcomes.
The BA will also collaborate with vendors on solutions for incidents, production issues, or new requirements, assist with query management, and coordinate test efforts to ensure the delivered solution meets agreed business requirements and functional/process specifications. They will also assist the Project Manager (PM) in defining project scope, documenting business requirements, and advising on project stage business cases.
The BA will also manage sub-projects or work streams, generate weekly/monthly or adhoc status reports, and perform root cause analysis with stakeholders.
