Old Mutual Insure is seeking a Data Scientist to interpret and analyze customer and customer-related data, solving complex problems and deploying Machine Learning models. The role involves extracting data from various sources, performing data manipulation, and creating end-to-end solutions. The candidate will also identify new business opportunities through statistical and data analysis.
Experience required includes a BSc Computer Science degree, 3+ years of relevant work experience, experience with Python, SQL, Data Analysis and Analytics, Machine Learning & Modelling, and proven ability to solve complex problems. Experience with deploying ML models and working independently is also beneficial. Insurance experience, experience with AWS, andgenerative AI is beneficial.
The recruitment process includes a TA Interview with a member of the TA Team, a panel interview with two senior leadership team members, and technical and psychometric assessments. Final feedback will be provided after the interview. Experience in insurance, AWS, andgenerative AI is also beneficial.
