The Internship Programme requires applicants from historically disadvantaged backgrounds who are unemployed and proficient in Microsoft packages. A valid driver’s license is needed, and candidates should show eagerness to excel in their specialized field. Positions are available at the Head Office in various departments such as Communications and Road Traffic Inspectorate. The internship lasts for 24 months, and successful candidates are responsible for their own transport and accommodation.
Applicants must ensure their qualifications are verified through SAQA and submit a comprehensive CV along with certified copies of their qualifications, ID, and an affidavit of unemployment. The Department will pay a monthly stipend, and participants must sign an agreement with the Department. No email or faxed applications are accepted, and only official tertiary certificates are valid. Non-RSA citizens must provide a Permanent Residence Permit and have foreign qualifications evaluated by SAQA.
