BET Software is seeking two Intermediate Software Quality Analysts to join their Cape Town team in the Quality Assurance department. The role involves building on the SQA1 foundation, diving into both manual functional and API testing with precision. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a software testing role and an ISTQB certification. The role involves analysis and design, which involves examining documentation like business requirements and specifications to derive appropriate test estimates and formulate a strategic test approach. Implementation involves developing manual functional test cases that adhere to internal standards and best practices, as well as designing and implementing API tests to ensure system interoperability and robustness. Execution involves using relevant tools to ensure methodical and accurate execution. Defect management involves formally logging defects found during testing and following up on progress. Retesting and regression testing are also responsibilities, including maintenance of the regression test pack. Reporting involves creating test progress and completion reports, leveraging automated reporting capabilities. Documentation and knowledge sharing involve creating documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and conducting training sessions to support upskilling efforts.
