Ingrain is seeking a Boilermaker for its Germiston mill to perform both planned and unplanned maintenance and repair work, fabricate necessary spare parts, and handle installations. The role involves attending to breakdowns, performing standby duties, and responding to callouts promptly to minimize unplanned downtime. Key responsibilities include participating in health and safety and food safety programs, identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures, and properly handling hazardous substances. The Boilermaker must also report, investigate, and close out incidents and near misses, provide safety improvement suggestions, follow permit to work and safe work procedures, use personal protective equipment correctly, and maintain high housekeeping standards.
