The Shoprite Biological and Agricultural Sciences Bursary supports talented South African students pursuing degrees in fields such as Microbiology, Botany, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, and Agronomy. Open to students in their 2nd to 4th year with a minimum 60% average, the bursary covers study costs and offers the opportunity to join Freshmark, Shoprite’s fresh produce division, upon graduation. Recipients are expected to maintain strong academic performance and may have a work-back obligation after completing their studies.

• BSc Microbiology, Botany, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Management with a focus on Crop or Plant Production, Agronomy degree
• 60%+ Aggregate
• 2nd, 3rd or 4th academic year
• SA citizen
• 27 years old and younger
