The IT Specialist, Test Analyst position is available at ZAF - Kempton Park, Serengeti Blvd (DSV Park Gauteng). The role involves end-to-end testing of all DSV ROAD in-house applications as part of the SDLC process before deployment to the Production Environment. This includes functional, regression, and integration testing with client IT teams and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with relevant stakeholders. Responsibilities include creating test plans, peer reviewing test documents, testing all systems using a combination of test techniques, assisting internal and external customers with integration testing, participating in UAT with stakeholders when needed, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the test process and methodologies. The basic requirements include a Matric/Grade 12 degree, BSc/BComm degree or 3-year Diploma, and at least 3 years of testing experience. The ideal candidate should have experience in customer service, software testing tools, web services, service-oriented architecture, and MS SQL. Advantageous electives include experience in a logistics/distribution company, support of production systems, and an ISEB ISTQB Advanced certificate in software testing. Competencies include adhering to agreed deadlines, assertiveness, patience, tolerance, proactive problem-solving, excellent communication, and attention to detail.
