The Intermediate Vacation program offers students a chance to gain hands-on experience working with KPMG clients during the busiest seasons. The program, which lasts for one week, includes on-the-job coaching and limited responsibility, similar to a first-year trainee accountant. Each student is assigned to a single session, consisting of two days of training and three days of work in the Business Unit. To participate, students must be enrolled at a SAICA accredited university, studying towards their CA(SA) qualification, have completed entry-level vacation work, and be capable of working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
